From the 18th to the 20th of April 2013 , the member organisations of Eurogites, the European Federation for Farm and Village Tourism,  have gathered for their general asseemblee. 
The event has been organized by Landurlaub, our German partner, in the former eastern part
of Germany near Rostock.  The Federation new elected president is Andy Woodward from Farmstay in UK.
The General Secretary remains M. Klaus Ehrlich from Spain. Additionally, 6 vice-presidents have been elected to become members of the board reflecting the diversity of this mouvement in Europe ( from Austria, France, Grece, Latvia, Lithuania and Norway).
This has been the opportunity to work and exchange in a workshop on the security requirements for Rural Tourism providers in the framework of the SAFETOUR project.
Moreover, the 15 participants from  12 Countries  have also been able to visit samples of good practices of rural tourism in this agriculture oriented territory for 2 days.
