Workshop - interior and exterior design in RT (November 2017)
On Wednesday and Thursday, November 29th and 30th 2017, Alterural Association organized a two-day workshop in the equestrian club Djeca Vjetra. Ms. Dušanka Selaković, an expert in the field of rural tourism, gave a lecture titled "How to welcome the tourists in your rural household in the wider Sarajevo environment", refining the interior and exterior design and security of guests in rural tourism. All participants, 19 of them, were mostly owners of accommodation in the villages, and this is going to be extremely useful for their future engagement. Ms. Selaković explained the systems of categorization of facilities in rural tourism in BiH, and compared the examples in developed European countries, that is, the Eurogites standard. When it comes to guests' safety, it is very important to know the risks that exist in rural tourism and act in accordance with the rules.
This workshop is the fourth, or the fifth in a row, of the 10 planned technical trainings in the framework of a project funded by the European Union.
The project "Building-up rural tourism destinations around Sarajevo to diversify the rural economy" was supported by the Civil Society Program 2014-2015, with the aim of connecting citizens and reducing unemployment through improving the cooperation of the main stakeholders at the local level and assessing the active population market.
The duration of the project is 3 years, and the municipalities of this project are Kreševo, Vareš, Ilijas, Fojnica, Sarajevo Center, Sarajevo Old Town, and East Old Town.
