Alterural Association, in co-operation with Vareš Municipality, as part of the project "Improving housing conditions for socially vulnerable persons in rural areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina" funded by the Abbe Pierre Foundation from France, announces a tender for the reconstruction of residential buildings for socially vulnerable families.
The aim of the project is to combat bad and unhealthy housing conditions in rural areas and improve living conditions.

The project is intended solely for renovation and reconstruction of existing facilities, not for new construction of buildings.
The application can be submitted to the family / persons from the Vareš municipality that meet 2 criteria:

1. To live in a home that is not suitable for housing (unhealthy / unsafe living conditions)

 (1 - poor electrical installation, 2 skylight, moisture problems in the walls and poor / no sewage; 3 - insulation problems (walls, doors and windows); 4 - unhealthy / inadequate kitchen and bathroom.

To meet at least one of the following criteria:

a. An elderly person without income and financial assistance;
b. Women with children, victims of domestic violence;
c. Families with a sick member / disabled;
d. Drug;
e. People with developmental difficulties, mentally ill;
f. Families with many children without a fixed income;
g. Families without assistance from the Diaspora;
h. Families who did not receive help from other organizations;
i. Families who care about old and helpless people without financial assistance.

15 to 20 families (users) will be selected according to the above criteria.

 Type of assistance / works that can be applied: renovation of the bathroom, renovation of the kitchen, roof repair, sanitation change, change of electrical installation, energy efficiency improvement, window and door changes, sewerage system and home adaptation for the disabled.

The grant amount will be determined depending on the needs of the beneficiary. The donor reserves the right to set the amount for each individual user according to the situation.
Applications are made to the General Administration, Social Services and Veterans' Protection of Vareš Municipality. All interested applicants are required to complete the application form in the said Service (Ms. Mira Pejčinović).

The deadline for application is 22 April 2018.
