22nd International Economy Fair "Mostar 2019"
The twenty-second International Economy Fair, which brought together over 860 exhibitors from 29 countries, opened on April 9, 2019 in Mostar. The partner country of this year's fair is the People's Republic of China.
This year at the fair we performed together with our colleagues from Kresevo, at the stand of the Central Bosnia Canton Tourist Board.
In addition to authentic exhibits from Kresevo, at our stand visitors could find numerous brochures of rural tourism offers from the areas of Fojnica, Vares and Sarajevo Ozren (Bukovik, Crepoljsko, Biosko, Vucja Luka), and they showed a special interest in rural and cultural-historical destinations in the vicinity of Sarajevo.
As part of the International Fair of Economy, as well as every year, numerous sub-events, presentations, gastronomic competitions, as well as thematic conferences of various contents are organized.
It was agreed that Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro offer a common tourist product to the Overseas Countries Market.
The joint tourism product of the three countries involves tours of active tourism in locations in BiH, Serbia and Montenegro, and the project was initiated in February at the tourism fair in Belgrade between the chambers of commerce of these countries and the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, the Chamber of Commerce of the RS and the Chamber of Commerce of the FBiH.
The offer includes various tourist attractions and destinations, such as galleries, museums, hotel chains, accommodation facilities in rural areas, local catering facilities and the like.
The Apriori Tourism Conference 2019 brought together 20 lecturers and panelists who presented topics from the field of development of destinations that achieved excellent results in local communities through panels and introductory presentations.
At the International Fair of Economy "Mostar 2019", awards were given for the most successful performances of the exhibitors. The Central Bosnia Canton received the prize for the promotion of the domestic economy.
