Study visit to Slovenia (March 2014)

Alterural organized a study visit to the Savinjska region, from 25rd to 27th of March 2014. Study visit was attended by 16 participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives of tourism organizations, service providers and NGOs of rural tourism. The objective of the study visit is to improve the quality and development of rural tourism offers in the area of ​​Bosnia and Herzegovina on the basis of the exchange of experiences by the service providers and advisory services Institute for Agriculture and Forestry in Celje. 








During the visit participants visited four households, Institute for Tourism and Sustainable Development in the upper Savinja valley, and hosts presented their experiences in the development of rural tourism and projects funded by the EU. Visited places were: Stoglej farm, Lenar Farm, which lies in the centre of  the Logar valley - known as one of the most beautiful European Alpine valleys. Center Rinka – multipurpose centre for sustainable development of the Solčavsko region, and the Marjanca farm, located in the Rogoška slatina.During the visit workshop was held by the experts for rural tourism, representatives of KGZS - Department of Celje, which covered the following areas: development of rural tourism projects in Slovenia, legal frameworks, organizations involved in rural tourism, the minimum quality accommodations in rural tourism in EU, communicating with guests.
