Unsafe housing conditions
Workshop "Engaging against Unsafe Housing and Poverty in Rural BiH" was held at the ibis Styles Sarajevo Hotel in Sarajevo, November 14, 2019. The workshop was intended for employees of social services in the municipalities where the project supports the socially disadvantaged population, partners and colleagues, as well as stakeholders from initiatives related to the related topic.
As part of the workshop, the project of the Abbe Pierre Foundation, the implementation organization, and the concrete activities of this three-year project in the municipalities of Fojnica, Kreševo, Vares, Breza and Olovo were presented. The project is entitled "Improving the Living Conditions of the Socially Disadvantaged Population in Bosnia and Herzegovina (2017 - 2019).
Prof. dr. dr. Suada Buljubasic of the Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo spoke about the definition of poverty and social vulnerability in rural areas and the reflective elements of its development in the coming years. Dr. Enisa M. Selimovic explained to the participants, more than 30 of them, the concepts of unsafe housing elements and their main impact on health, through concrete examples from medical practice.
